About Sheila Buff

Sheila Buff has been writing about health, nutrition, and medicine since 1996. She has particular expertise in nutrition, dietary supplements, weight loss, obesity, diabetes, and related health issues. As a contributing writer to the Bottom Line newsletters, she often interviews well-known physicians and other health-care providers.

In addition to her work as a health writer, Sheila Buff is noted for her work in natural history, the outdoors (particularly birdwatching and hiking), and gardening. She is actively involved in community conservation issues in northern Dutchess County and is the principal writer for the website www.milaninsider.com.

She is an honors graduate of Washington Square College at New York University, where she was a University Scholar and received the Baer Award for excellence in English. She lives in New York's beautiful Hudson Valley with her husband, novelist Joe Buff, and their dog Dina.
